A great opportunity for an experienced structural engineer to be a leader in our NZ Civil Infrastructure team supporting the delivery of structural designs on multi-disciplinary transportation projects, identifying business opportunities and growing our team of 15+ structural engineers. In this role, you will work on complex, large scale local and international projects that deliver great outcomes for our clients.

This role will look after project delivery, technical quality and resource allocation to lead an engaged and motivated technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer to grow their experience, working as part of a high performing, close-knit regional team, with contact and support from global technical specialists. In addition to providing technical input and advice, you will be given the opportunity to work directly with clients, expanding your business development and networking skills. You will guide and mentor junior engineers, contributing to the growth of our talent pipeline.

**Your day to day role will include**
- Lead and mentor structural engineers on tasks such as structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender designs, detailed designs and the production of contract documents and technical reports.
- Help development of the team through the delivery of projects and commissions, providing technical and administrative support and leadership where required
- Undertake design management roles in multidisciplinary projects, ensuring integrated design through effective communication and coordination with other disciplines.
- Provide design leadership and influence to generate innovative and high-quality design outcomes.
- Manage the interface between Project Managers and Discipline Leads to deliver Strategic, Concept and Delivery Readiness Phases.
- Liaise with the Project Manager to identify changes of scope, resourcing and/or priority of packages that may impact delivery against schedule.
- Liaise with stakeholder groups during the development of the Designs.
- Generate fee and programme estimates and regular track your progress.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Proven minimum 15 years’ transportation infrastructure detailed design delivery experience and leading teams on major infrastructure projects;
- Ability to manage resources across multiple work streams;
- Experience delivering projects with a high level of public visibility and interest;
- Experience bringing together a cohesive team on complex projects.

**Qualifications**
- Civil Engineering degree
- CPEng is preferred
