Our Roadmarking business unit is proud to be leading a range of contracts and projects, maintaining and enhancing road markings on highways, roads and carparks across New Zealand. We currently looking for a number of reliable and motivated Roadmarking Operators & Assistants to help us deliver on assignments across the country.

With 21 maintenance contracts throughout NZ, we have roles across the country in the following locations:

- Roadmarking Operators & Roadmarking assistants
- Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Wellington, Christchurch, Invercargill

**About the job**:
The safest time to paint new road markings is when the roads are the quietest, for this reason, most of the work is carried out at night.

Although most of the work takes place at night, roadmarking is a 24/7 industry and all roadmarking roles require both night and day shift work.

The ability and willingness to work to a roster is essential.

**Roadmarking Operator**:
Be responsible for completing roadmarking works in line with client and contract expectations. Your daily activities will include:

- Planning, organising, directing and controlling the activities of the day-to-day roadmarking operation
- Installing or remarking of Type A and/ or B markings
- Organising your crew and ensuring that equipment and materials are in order.
- Ensuring efficient and safe use of materials, supplies and equipment.
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and all targets (productivity, quality and safety) are met

**Roadmarking Assistant**:
You will support our road marking crew of category A or category B Type Operators, helping with the installation of new road markings

Your daily activities will include:

- Helping with installation or remarking of Type A and B markings
- Conduct traffic management duties including site setup, maintaining traffic control, plating and other maintenance work as assigned.

**About you**

You will a self-motivated, energetic, and results-orientated individual. You will be the type of person who remains calm under pressure, and someone who can recognise and prioritise allocation of resources as work as required. This will require being available for working extended hours.

**As a Roadmarking Operator, you will also**:

- Some experience as a A/B Type operator or a wealth of experience as an assistant.
- Essential to have a Class 1 Drivers License or be able to obtain one.
- Have strong attention to detail with the ability to plan, listen and problem solve
- Have excellent verbal and written language skills along with competent IT abilities.
- It is desirable to have knowledge of MOTSAM and be able to mark out new works to the code.

**As a Roadmarking Assistant, you will also**:

- Be able to remain calm under pressure
- Experience in or a keen interest in civil construction & roading
- Essential to have a Class 1 Drivers License or be able to obtain one.
- Have strong attention to detail with the ability to plan, listen and problem solve
- Some traffic management experience is desirable but not essential
