Postie/sorter Hamilton

**We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our team as a Postie/Sorter in Hamilton**

We are seeking an energetic, honest, and reliable person who is dedicated to getting the mail delivered in Hamilton.

**You will spend half of your shift sorting mail and the other half delivering it across the Hamilton region.**

**Here's what you'll do**

**As a Postie**

You will be responsible for providing support to the regular Posties in the delivery of mail. This includes delivering mail regularly, as well as covering for Posties who are absent. You’ll also be serving as a substitute for a Postie who is away or covering runs due to high volumes of mail and floating between branches.

**As a Sorter**

You will be assisting in our busy deport where you will be sorting the mail for delivery. Being customer-focused, you will provide an excellent level of customer service, building rapport, and relationships as you go.

You'll start your day sorting mail in our branch for delivery. You will be operating Motorcycles so a Class 6 Learners motorcycle license or above is an essential requirement.

This is a **Permanent, Full-time** role, **Monday - Friday**, the schedule would start at **6:00 am. 30 hours guaranteed per week (but more can be required)**

**What we're looking for**

Some of the key things you'll need to perform this role successfully are:

- **You must have a clean class 6 motorcycle license - Learners, Restricted or Full**:

- Commit to Monday to Friday working days, start time to be discussed at interview, (opportunities to do extended hours as volumes demand)
- Enjoy working outdoors in any type of weather
- Flexible and reliable
- Physically fit and active with a 'can do' attitude and likes to get the job done.
- Passionate about keeping customers happy
- High regard for Health & Safety standards.
