Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Manager to join the Wellington Transport Alliance, where you will have the opportunity to deliver on the annual plan and asset management functions.

This role is responsible for leading the stewardship of the highway network; managing delivery of the transport technology assets including Street lighting/Electrical, ITS (Electronic signs, Cameras, Fibre Networks etc.) traffic signals, Weigh Stations, and Tunnels annual plans and the forward works programmes; ensuring maintenance of the network is managed effectively; managing the access and use of the highway network; and providing technical support to the wider team.

This role is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of transport technology assets maintenance and renewal programmes; encompassing lifecycle and fit for purpose asset management principles; and considering value for money proposition to ensure the WTA is consistently meeting Waka Kotahi's outcomes and objectives.

Ideally, you will bring significant and proven experience within the New Zealand roading industry specialising in asset management in the state highway and regional roading networks. However, asset management or maintenance experience in other network types (power, telco, drainage, infrastructure) would be considered.

Hold a relevant tertiary level or technical qualification (preferred)

Have knowledge of asset management/technical systems e.g., RAMM, Juno and Microsoft suite (preferred)

*
Be experienced in asset renewals annual plan development and forward works programming

*
Be highly motivated and driven as you will be part of a high performing, collaborative team delivering projects across the network

*
Have experience working with engineering consultants and contractors in a construction or maintenance setting

*
Have strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage great relationships with the team, clients and stakeholders

*
Bring strong financial acumen

*
Enjoy working in a strong team
