Dyson has established a regional hub office in Auckland to manage the New Zealand market. The business will scale rapidly over the next 5 years and we are building the team who will grow this business. This is an exciting time to join Dyson and play a pivotal role in the strategic expansion plan for New Zealand

**About The Role**:
To lead the New Zealand (NZ) consumer business for Dyson; developing the Dyson brand across NZ as an innovative, technology-led premium brand. As Country Manager, you will be tasked with growing market share, sales and profits sustainably, across channels; and to leverage full retail potential for all product categories.

The NZ market is not new to Dyson but still we will be looking to this individual to leverage their knowledge, experience, and networks to drive awareness, presence and growth.

Build the Business
- Take the lead in establishing the new form of business in NZ
- Ensure the office is well set-up and fully functioning as a Dyson office
- Attract talent to build the team
- Collaborate with colleagues across Australia and Group to bring expertise and adapt best practice to the local markets
- Establish relations with key partners

Strategic Thinking and Executional Delivery
- Work in partnership with Australian leadership community to deploy the business strategy for APAC
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team in Australia to learn and adopt best practice to the NZ market
- Network with key stakeholders at Group and across APAC to deploy the sales and marketing plans, and execution model, and educate colleagues on the needs and behaviors of NZ market
- Develop strategies in partnership with counter-parts to deliver both in-store and online sales

Deliver business results (volume and revenue) and profit
- Create action plans to deliver 18-month and 5-year strategy and annual
- Ensure the consistent development of sales and marketing strategies that drive the business to meet business goals and objective
- Drive effective channel strategies and range strategies with retailers/distributors to maximize and optimize Dyson profitably in line with market goals, and expand channels at the right pace
- Work with Marketing, PR and Finance colleagues to make integrated business plans for growth.
- In collaboration with Marketing, determine and manage;
- Dyson spend on marketing per year per market.
- Product range, SKU and Line-up
- Retail executions, store experience and counselling
- Responsible for delivering monthly sales volumes and communicating to the AU leadership team and wider business any changes to budget, target or LE
- Establish portfolio pricing strategy, maximizing Dyson profit whilst hitting the appropriate local prices
- Train and up skill the capability of the sales and demonstrator team to increase effectiveness and rate of sale per store - driving best practice across the region.

Manage business to maximize profitability and reduce variability
- Establish strongest possible commercial relationships with key customers & local agency partners
- Oversee complex customer negotiations
- Work closely with key retailer partners
- Develop Category Management approach where possible
- Manage total costs to maximize profitability, and overheads competitively in line with P&L plans
- Manage imperative supply chain efficiencies and NZ specific logístical requirements (through 3PL)

Marketing & PR
- Build relationships with Group to support the local requirements for NZ, and gather support to overcome any market challenges
- Establish strong relations with the Australian Commercial team to launch the optimal product range for NZ

Retail & Other Agency Partnerships
- Oversee management of key partnerships
- Build appropriate channel differentiation strategies and deliver multi-channel profit optimization

Competitor Management
- Take the fight for product leadership to competitors and exploit fully our technological advantages
- Monitor competitor activity, report and develop activity to counter their impact.
