Reporting to the GM Food Safety and Quality, this newly approved role will play a critical part in ensuring adherence of our production sites and products to established standards set by ZIWI and relevant regulatory authorities.

Working closely with the Quality and Production teams across Freeze Dried Foods and all ZIWI production sites, the Compliance Advisor will be the conduit to support and guide teams to solve any quality or food safety compliance issues. In addition, you will be responsible for leading our internal and external audit programmes and assist to address any required actions.

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who continuously strives for improvement and is steadfast in raising the bar in achieving quality standards. It goes without saying that you have in-depth knowledge and experience of HACCP, GMP, and RMP systems and relevant legislation requirements for animal consumption products and processes.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Lead and support Production Managers to determine methods to resolve any quality or food safety compliance issues.
- Lead design and delivery of training of the Production teams in Quality processes and control checks.
- Implementing, maintaining and improving the effectiveness of the food safety and quality system.
- Ensure all significant changes in legislation and OMARs are approved through the change management system.

**Key Requirements**:

- A tertiary qualification in a science or related discipline
- Proven hands-on experience within an export food manufacturing environment - min 5+ years
- Passion for quality and continuous improvement
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of RMP, GMP and HACCP systems
- A collaborative hands-on approach and can positively influence change across all levels
