**The Role**

We have an immediate start available for a high performing Senior Accounts Payable Officer based near the Airport. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, this role is responsible for the accounts payable function ensuring timely record keeping and payment of all non-salary expenditure.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Accurately code and process all supplier invoices (excluding procurement) in a timely manner
- Working with overseas Group FSO shared services payables department to ensure all payment deadlines are met
- Ensure that key Supplier statements are received and reconciled on a monthly basis
- Matching off and clearing items on the bank statement daily
- Complete monthly supplier statement reconciliations
- Ensure that invoices are appropriately logged into the system
- Ensure that month end reporting deadlines are achieved with all invoices captured in the correct accounting period
- Maintain a high standard to customer service to both internal and external customers
- Assist with the review, documentation and improvement the current Accounts Payable process

**Skills and experience**

We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail to prepare accurate financial information. Along with this, you will also have:

- Previous Account Payable experience at a senior level including p revious experience working in workflow / automated accounts payable system, ideally in Esker.
- Experience in communication and dealing with an overseas shared-service team.
- Excel & Word knowledge - intermediate level
- Reconciliation & Investigative skills - High level
- Sound understanding of NZ GST and Tax implications, including Export, import and customs duty.
- Have a high level of attention to detail, excellent time management, and be able to juggle multiple priorities.
