He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
A kahui ako is also known as a Community of Learning (COL) or a cluster of schools usually in a geographical area.
The successful applicant will work alongside the existing Registered Mental Health Professionals from TMIUTMIT; and with the Tauranga Peninsula Kāhui Ako. You will work within the Kahui Ako's Learning Support Delivery model to ensure that tamariki with mental health and wellbeing needs are identified, and interventions are put into place to support their emotional and mental health resilience from a whanau perspective.
If you are passionate about providing mental health early intervention and prevention to tamariki and whānau in Years 1-8 within a Kāhui Ako (cluster of schools), and you are innovative and creative and comfortable with working primarily in a schools-based setting then we want to hear from you
This is a permanent, 0.6FTE position, working 24 hours per week.
