The opportunity:
As the Head of Strategy, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing our strategic programme. Reporting directly to the Chief Product & Strategy Officer, you'll have the opportunity to directly influence strategic decisions for AIA NZ.

Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and facilitating the annual strategic plan process, along with any ad-hoc strategic planning requirements from AIA Group- Serving as the liaison to AIA Group, supporting strategic planning and reporting processes- Identifying, prioritising, and governing strategic initiatives to ensure successful strategy execution- Managing the Strategic Initiatives Portfolio and prioritising initiatives, including reporting and governance- Analysing the local and global landscape, conducting competitor analysis, and providing insights and recommendations to drive our strategic direction- Providing support to business units in identifying, prioritising, and implementing strategic initiatives aligned with the overall strategy- Adapting flexibly to manage priorities and meet key deadlines effectively.

Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Proven track record of 10+ years in a senior strategy role within professional services, strategic consultancy, or a large corporate environment- Conceptual and strategic thinking ability, with experience influencing at the Executive, Board, and Group levels- A passion for driving positive cultural change and continuous improvement, with the ability to effectively package information for senior audiences- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with superior relationship management experience- Expertise in strategic frameworks and methodologies to guide decision-making and execution- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, coupled with the ability to interpret complex information and translate it into actionable solutions- Experience managing multiple competing stakeholder priorities and driving change at varying levels within the organisation- Technical expertise in analytical problem-solving, financial acumen, and organisational planning- Significant financial services experience, preferably within the insurance industry, along with strong leadership and mentorship skills.
