We are seeking a capable and experienced professional to join The Quality Hotel Elms, Christchurch as a Hotel Duty Manager. You will be passionate about the role and the opportunity within this close knit team of professionals. Having excellent written and verbal communication skills, and taking immense pride in your work.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for helping to oversee the different operations of this busy hotel, and have a clear understanding of the role and it's responsibilities (This exciting hotel is a local hit, with a well recognised brand, and a great following, with a reputation that keeps bringing the regulars back).

We are looking for a Hotel Duty Manager (NZQF standard NZ qualification Diploma in Travel & Tourism or Business Management, or similar internationally recognised equivalent, or experienced Hospitality professional (3 years minimum relevant experience in a Hotel environment may substitute for the qualifications listed above) that can JUMP in and handle the challenges of a busy hotel.

**Job Description: Hotel Duty Manager (Full Time) commencing January 15th, 2024**
- **Deliver excellent customer service, at all times, ensuring guests' comfort, safety & privacy**:

- **Communicates with all hotel departments to ensure the smooth day to day running of all hotel operations**:

- **Prepares and checks for VIP’s arrival, meets & greets and escorts guests to rooms.**:

- **Handles guest complaints and other related problems and reports to the Front office Manager**:

- **Assists where required in all aspects of the hotel operation to ensure it runs efficiently.**:

- **Excellent communication and organisational skills**:

- **Professional and well presented at all times**:

- **Self-motivation, initiative and enthusiasm**:

- **Assisting in reception and reservations as required**:

- **Be a good person, communicate with the team and be kind**:

- **Have fun**:

- **We will assist with any ongoing training and coaching on an ongoing basis. We will teach you the business of hospitality**
