**About the role**

**Chapter Lead - Network and Infrastructure Testing**

The purpose of a Chapter Lead is to ensure the quality of products produced by Spark New Zealand and its suppliers are of the highest standard by having them tested properly.

A Chapter Lead takes on responsibilities that may range from test execution, test planning, data preparation, scripting through to test management and people management, all while demonstrating strong leadership and producing a high quality of test capabilities within the chapter and wider Spark organization.

Within Spark New Zealand, a Chapter Lead will be providing functional expertise within your squad and wider chapter, people leadership for people in your Chapter team (including recruitment, development, and evaluation), and steering "how" work is conducted across your Chapter and ensuring professional standards are met across the Chapter.

Working collectively with other part of the business and sharing accountability for all aspects of service experience, the Chapter Lead must ensure that their part of the delivery journey under their responsibility meets all required expectations - and more.

They will be expected to manage and execute upon required role duties, drive for quality and excellence for our customers and display communication skills that enable open and mature conversations to occur. Success will be exhibited by being able to deliver timely and efficient testing outcomes, and demonstrating strong leadership at times where deliveries need clear direction and taking ownership and accountability all testing outcomes.

**Network Testing Chapter**
- The network testing chapter is the preferred supplier for network test delivery across Spark New Zealand group of companies.
- The Network Test chapter comprises of experienced Test Specialists, with a specific focus on network testing and of driving Best Practice and Process methodology to deliver successful outcomes across the organisation.
- The principal role of the Network Test Chapter is to provide total testing capability to support delivery of both small, medium and large and Spark New Zealand Network Projects.

**Key Accountabilities & Result Areas**
- Providing functional expertise within your squad and wider chapter
- People leadership for people in your Chapter team (including recruitment, development, and evaluation)
- Steering "how" work is conducted across your Chapter and ensuring professional standards are met across the Chapter
- Deliver in accordance with the Test Management Process (TMP) and related processes, practices, standards, and policies
- Undertake Requirements Analysis of project deliverables by:

- Co-ordinating and participating in the review of the Detailed Requirements, Solution Design and other detailed design documentation to a measure completeness and overall testability
- Analyse the Requirements in order to develop Test Scenarios, Test Cases and other test assets as required
- Maintain traceability between requirements and test artefacts by contributing to the development and on-going maintenance of the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
- Co-ordinate test data requirements and assist in the preparation and management of the test data sets where required
- Develop/contribute to the development of test estimates, test schedules and test planning
- Co-ordinate and participate in the peer review of test cases produced by others and provide constructive and timely feedback where improvements can be made
- Co-ordinate 'Risk Based' prioritisation of both the test design and test execution planning and scheduling activities where required
