Join Te Whatu Ora at a key time of change where you will meaningfully contribute to our kaupapa of creating a more equitable, accessible, cohesive and people-centred health system. This is mahi that will improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it.
**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
Our Digital Enterprise Services team leads the way in merging our ICT infrastructure, reducing duplication to simplify our operations, making things smoother to handle and maintain. We're all about striving for excellence
Our team plays a crucial role in building a strong digital foundation and ensuring operational success. We're the driving force behind our organisation's modern infrastructure, adapting to evolving technology while ensuring stability, scalability, and modernisation. Our focus is not just on technology but also on delivering top-notch service.
We've got a lot on our plate From overseeing the national ITSM and Service Desk functions to managing workspace tools, core infrastructure, integration platforms, and more, we've got you covered. We're here to build upon our rich history and legacy, ushering in the future with contemporary platforms that seamlessly transition us from the old ways to the new.
Planning our Digital Platform Delivery resource capability and availability is critical to our success. This includes.
- Providing a complete picture of the wider team's workload, so we can best assign resources, prevent overwork, and maximize efficiency.
- Distribute work appropriately, ensuring all our wider team members are appropriately staffed—not overworked or underutilized.
- Spot potential resourcing problems in real-time and adjust accordingly, preventing staffing issues from impacting progress on projects.
- Improve future resource planning by drawing on the knowledge gained to better estimate and forecast bandwidth for upcoming projects.
**Mōu | About you**
We're on a mission to ensure that our schedules are not just documented, but consistently tracked with full visibility of every phase and demand. As our Resource Planner, you'll be at the heart of this effort, analysing dependencies and constraints across our Digital Enterprise Services (DES) programmes and projects. Working closely with our teams and stakeholders, you'll make sure that any risks or issues that might affect our schedules are addressed promptly and effectively.
Your role will involve diving into data from various programmes and projects - from requirements to schedules, risks, changes, and resource plans - to understand their impact on resource demand and schedule capability across our Portfolio. You'll play a crucial part in deciding how resources are allocated, both in the short and long term, and ensuring a balanced resource demand throughout the Portfolio.
As a valued member of our Digital Platforms Delivery team, you will be the go-to person for providing a management view of forecasted workforce capacity and capability across DES. Your insights will be vital in producing demand and supply reports that guide resource planning and sourcing decisions. Plus, you'll help us predict monthly labour costs and recoveries, keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- ** **Planning and scheduling experience across many programmes and projects.
- Ability to develop accurate and actionable short-term and long-term resource forecasts to meet business demands.
- Skills in modelling schedule impact for proposed new programmes and projects including changes, highlighting potential related risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Outstanding reporting skills, e.g. graphical presentation, advanced excel skills.
- Attention to detail, coupled with effective analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to balance and prioritise multiple activities with a high level of flexibility.
- Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills with an ability to engage internal and external stakeholders in complex schedule planning and dependencies management resolutions.
- Experience with Planview® programme and project scheduling and/or dependencies, or similar tools, and a formal qualification in Project Management, for example, P30 Certification, PRINCE2 or MSP would be desirable.
You will also have:
- A practical understanding of project management disciplines, Agile, Waterfall, DevOps or appropriate methods that are fit for purpose for that programme / project.
- Good knowledge of MS office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) as there is a requirement to provide administration support along with resource capacity and planning reporting.
