**What we are looking for**:
This is a newly created opportunity to be part of Xero’s global Pay Team, which is part of the wider global Finance Team. As the Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administration and coordination support to the Pay Team. The team is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of end-to-end payroll for APAC and EMEA.

The payroll system currently used is Infinet Cloud, which has data integrations to Netsuite ERP and Workday HRIS. We also use Slack for communication and Zendesk for customer service. Xero also uses third party payroll providers for certain smaller payrolls in new markets.

**What you’ll do**:
You’ll provide support to the Pay Team in order to enable the effective and accurate processing of end-to-end payrolls and associated processes, including:

- Supporting the team in preparing payroll-related information ready for the payrun by collating and recording information into the system
- Updating employee-related payroll records in the pay system
- Assisting the team with payroll processing
- Assisting the team in answering the queries and assigning Zendesk tickets
- Identifying and escalating any significant payroll risks and issues in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records and follow procedures with respect to the proper filing of hard and soft copy information
- Coordinate with PX (People Experience) to maintain the integrity of employee data in Workday

**What you’ll bring**:

- Prior experience with payroll for a medium to large company preferred, but not required
- Proven ability to deal with confidential information with discretion
- An aptitude for self-development for current and passion to learn about payroll
- Strong self-management skills with an ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
