**About you**

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Hamilton team who enjoys a learning environment, sharing knowledge and who can bring a fresh perspective.

You will have a background in delivering small to medium-sized projects and good problem-solving skills. You have grown your skills within a contracting, client or consulting organisation, where you have built your technical design and project management experience through undertaking projects for and on industrial sites.

You will have an inquiring mind and be able to problem-solve and think laterally. You will understand how to build and deliver strategies to produce winning proposals, and understand the industrial marketplace in the Waikato and New Zealand. While not essential, experience across food & beverage, food and life sciences or the energy sector would be advantageous as would experience in process safety.

**The opportunity**

Every day will be different and bring new challenges, overall, this role will see you:

- Deliver capital projects in project management or construction management capacity
- Utilise your technical background to develop preliminary and detailed designs
- Get to know our clients to gain an understanding of our client business’ across a wide range of industries
- Scope packages of work and deliver working alongside remote New Zealand teams
- Develop relationships across the Beca business and build project teams to deliver the projects throughout NZ
- Project manage a variety of works from office and site-based locations, setting clear expectations on cost, quality and schedule
- Proactively identify and resolve opportunities and threats to projects with clients as they arise
