Do you have experience delivering youth health nursing services within a school setting?

We are currently looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Youth School Based Health Team at Counties Manukau Health. This role is an important part of the development and delivery of quality school-based health services in Counties Manukau.

In this role you will be responsible for providing professional leadership to nurses in Counties Manukau Health secondary schools, promoting and role modelling expert competency in youth nursing and facilitating training and monthly supervision meetings for secondary school nurses. You will provide clinical nurse specialist expertise in the planning and delivery of youth focused health care and will work on improving networks and relationships between secondary schools, Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau, primary care, and other service providers.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to implement real change and improvements in school-based health services, whilst also having the opportunity to further develop your clinical skills as well as knowledge of local, regional and national health priorities and processes.

**Essential**:

- New Zealand Registered Nurse
- Current practicing certificate
- Five years’ experience in youth health
- Working at senior or expert portfolio level
- Relevant Post Graduate Diploma or working towards one
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Clean, full drivers’ licence

**Ideally**:

- School nursing experience
- Nurse prescriber
- Knowledge of the primary care sector and an understanding of the Counties Manukau Health context
