New Zealand National Intestinal Failure and Rehabilitation Clinical Nurse Specialist | Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative nurse for the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist for the National Intestinal Failure and Rehabilitation Service. The National Intestinal Failure and Rehabilitation Service's aim is to provide a nationally coordinated service to work with local and regional DHB (location) providers to achieve optimum clinical outcomes for patients with intestinal failure (IF). Included in this support is the provision of recommendations to assist clinicians across NZ to manage these patients close to home whenever possible.
This role is varied and challenging and will require a senior nurse with previous experience in a leadership role, with well-grounded clinical practice in the management of patients with intestinal failure and be comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team environment
This is a senior nursing position and involves the provision of specialist nursing care and coordination of care to patients. You will provide professional and clinical leadership in the management of patients with intestinal failure. You will be accountable for care delivery and coordination for Intestinal Failure patients and will work in collaboration with clinicians across the clinical network including Nurse Specialists, Charge Nurses, Dietitians, Doctors, Psychologists and other multidisciplinary team members across the continuum of care

This is a permanent position, Monday to Friday opportunity working 40 hours per fortnight (0.5 FTE).

have an extensive surgical nursing background and be practicing at a senior level preferably with a postgraduate certificate or diploma in speciality nursing practice.
demonstrate expert knowledge, advanced clinical skills, and be an excellent communicator and team member.
Registration as a nurse (or eligibility for registration) with NZ Nursing Council
