Principal Advisor, Information, Data, and Analytics, MSD - 18 Month Fixed Term
- Location: National Office, Wellington

Opportunity for a Principal Advisor to support us in delivering a transformation of MSD's information, data, and analytics ecosystem as part of a larger transformation of the Ministry.

About the Role
The Principal Advisor provides a strategic advice and support to the General Manager, Data Strategy & Transformation. The role includes providing strategic leadership across the full range of the ID&A team's activities, ensuring that we're delivering effectively on our commitments and remaining focussed on our priorities.
You'll also be responsible for our project reporting and the interface with the transformation programme office.
About You

**To be successful in this role, you will be/have**:

- An established record of operating and influencing and providing advice at a senior leadership level, demonstrating good judgement, intellectual flexibility and originality, and the capacity to think strategically
- Extensive experience in the public sector and/or in a service / community organisation
- A proven record of managing strategies and projects in a complex and demanding environment
- Able to prioritise across multiple challenging work streams, while delivering to deadlines
- A good understanding of change implementation and the issues likely to impact on it
- Excellent project leadership skills
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent operational experience
- Experience in data and analytics is a bonus, but not required - you'll know and understand how to drive a high-performing and effective organisation, not necessarily how to deliver analytic work yourself

**Salary range**: $141,109.00 - $175,603.00
