**About the opportunity**

We have a unique new opportunity for a Programme Lead to join the On Farm Excellence - Environment team

The On-farm Excellence Environment team mission is to empower our co-op to navigate change through collaborative support of sustainability solutions. In this role, you will lead our programme focused on the technical and operational design, implementation and ongoing management of Farm Source’s farmer facing environmental tools and services.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Lead the identification, design and development of world-leading farmer facing tools, systems and services to ensure that Fonterra farmers have the support they require to meet those aspirations of our Co-operative.
- Provide thought leadership for the delivery of Farm Source’s environmental sustainability pillar, ensuring that development of tools and systems aligns with local, national and international commitments and expectations both from within Farm Source and across the wider Fonterra business.
- Lead the evolution and expansion of Farm Source’s Farm Environment Planning service towards integrated farm planning enabling our farmers to achieve those standards and aspirations of our Co-operative.
- Lead the programme management and delivery of our sustainability tools and services to ensure that these are developed and deployed consistent with our strategy and are well understood by our stakeholders.
- Leading external and internal stakeholder relationships to ensure that our tools and services align with existing accreditations and aspirations and drive the uptake of our systems and processes.

**About you**

To be successful in this role your communication, influencing and relationship building skills will be at the highest standard allowing you to liaise and work with multiple stakeholder groups. You will have strong programme management experience ideally leading on farm and change management programmes.

**Other key skills and attributes include**:

- Tertiary qualification in agricultural science, agriculture, environmental accounting or other relevant field.
- Track record of successfully managing sensitive / confidential cross-functional programmes.
- You will have experience in
- Development and deployment of sustainability change programmes.
- Delivering Sustainability projects within a large organisation.
- Strategy formation and delivery.
- Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication skills, ideally with experience in writing formal communications
- Proven ability to analyse farm level data to identify trends and opportunities pertaining to environmental footprint and farm, cohort, regional and national scales.
- Strong understanding of farm systems including farm level economics and how these are influenced by farm system/practice change.
- Ability to analyse a range of technical standards and process frameworks, formulate solutions and integrate these into existing tools and services.
- A proven ability to influence change both internally and externally.
- Competent user of excel, farm modelling tools/modelling software e.g. Overseer/Fa
