The University of Waikato College - Te Kura Huanui is currently looking to appoint a Manager of our English Language Programmes. This key role will support the Academic Director and the College Director & Principal by taking overall responsibility in the development and enhancement of our English language programmes. This is a pivotal Senior Management role, that will be at the forefront of ensuring our students, both domestic and international, are set on a trajectory towards degree success and career progression.
**Ngā Tūranga Matua | Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership for academic and general English programmes, ensuring alignment with university standards.
- Foster a climate of student success and progression.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement curriculum enhancements.
- Oversee teaching staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Oversee language testing.
**Mōu | About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have a solid track record of English teaching and academic leadership, including leading a diverse teaching team. You will be passionate about tertiary education and bring with you experience in curriculum development and enhancement.
As an academic leader, you will possess strong analytical skills and contribute to the management of the College from both a strategic and operational perspective. You will have a strong focus on continuous improvement, student success, and satisfaction. You will also bring the organisational and administrative skills needed to ensure smooth running of the English language programme.
