**Mō te tūranga | About the role**

Now is an exciting time to make your mark with ACC as we embark on interweaving kaupapa Māori into our day-to-day mahi. As the Principal Advisor Mātauranga Māori, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with the Deputy Chief Executive and their leadership team to achieve the goals of Huakina te Rā and deliver improved equity in access, service experience, and outcomes for Māori.

In this influential and impactful role, you will draw on your expertise in mātauranga Māori to provide specialist guidance, strategic advice, and analysis to strengthen cultural responsiveness and equity decision-making within the organisation.

There are 4 roles available, working alongside the Deputy Chief Executives of the following business units:

- Prevention & Partnerships
- Strategy, Engagement & Planning
- Enterprise Change Delivery
- Corporate & Finance

Salary ranges from $137,401 to $193,978 with a mid-point of $161,648. Preferred locations are Te Whanganui-a-Tara or Tāmaki Makaurau. Other locations may be considered, and genuine flexible working options are available.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Demonstrated expertise in Te Reo, Tikanga, and Mātauranga Māori
- Proven experience in providing strategic advice, cultural guidance, and analysis to inform decision-making processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Previous experience working with leadership teams to drive equity-focused outcomes is highly desirable.
- A genuine desire to work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for Tangata Māori and Tangata Tiriti
- Experience of lifting capability and providing practical advice, guidance, and tools to help others succeed.
- An influential style that builds trust and credibility.
