Christchurch, New Zealand Orion Group Full time

**Powering connection**

Working in collaboration with our Group People and Capability teams, you will help drive and support the Orion Group purpose of ‘Powering a cleaner and brighter future’.
- Be part of our group community of expertise to support lifting operational excellence aligned with positive climate action
- Fully utilise your experience in talent sourcing and building talent pipelines to support our strategic purpose
- Collaborate across operational delivery, education and training providers and local iwi to make visible and realise career opportunities in the energy sector
- Build external talent pipelines focused on critical roles, increasing diversity, and creating career pathways for rangatahi.

**Who we are**

The Orion Group is here to power New Zealand’s cleanest and brightest community, now and in the future. Working for us means joining a best-in-class electricity network that enables energy choice and supports decarbonising our region and Aotearoa. People matter to us, we care deeply about our people, the public and the community we serve striving towards a sustainable future for generations to come. The Orion Group is made up of Orion, Connetics and Energy Academy.

Orion owns and operates the electricity distribution network that provides power to central Canterbury. As the third largest electricity distribution network in New Zealand, we cover remote rural areas, regional towns and the city of Christchurch.

Connetics is a multi-disciplined, multi-regional electrical design, construction, and maintenance business and offers a true design, supply, build, operate, and maintain delivery model.

Energy Academy is working to close the gap between supply and demand for capability in the energy sector.

The future in the energy sector is full of opportunity. The Orion Group is taking a long-term investment view based on a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing culture. Additionally, we are led by nationally recognised, award winning Head of People & Culture (who would be totally embarrassed by us saying so) and surrounded by line managers keen to engage and collaborate.

**Who we are looking for**

The role is best suited to someone with recruitment and talent acquisition experience in large or complex organisation. If your experience has been gained within the within the utilities or contracting industries, this will put you ahead of the pack. This is not your ordinary end-to-end recruiter role, with us you will make full use of your sourcing expertise and networking savvy. Previous experience would also include integrating and creatively co-ordinating brand stories to strengthen EVP and building strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

**What we offer**

In addition to being critical to building talent pipelines, we offer a truly collaborative environment where you can come as you are and just be you. You will have a supportive team that will always have your back and expect that in return you will have theirs.

Importantly, we are also able to offer flexible working arrangements including up to two days working from home. If you need flexible arrangements to support your work/life balance, please don’t let this be a barrier to applying. We’d love to hear from you and consider how we might support your needs. In addition, we offer:

- Competitive remuneration recognizing your experience
- Modern office environment with onsite parking
- Employee benefits which include discounts on everything from bikes to electronics
- Team breakfasts (and lunches), awesome social club, and all the little things that truly create a great working environment.

**Pre-employment tests - Medical and Ministry of Justice**

Connetics requires all successful applicants to complete a pre-employment medical test, which includes a drug and alcohol test and a pre-employment Ministry of Justice check.
