**Job Description**:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a a payroll professional to join our team as a Group Payroll Compliance Officer.

Purpose:
This role is to assist with the compliance of all Australia and New Zealand payroll functions. To ensure compliance is maintained as per all legislative requirements and company policies.

The key focus for this position is to work closely with other streams within the Payroll team, along with the Australian People team during the Enterprise Agreement bargaining process.

You will have a solid understanding of the legislation and provide guidance and interpretation of the employment agreements to the team, as well as understanding implication of agreed changes.

Being a group role, there will be a requirement to assist the team with other Australian & New Zealand compliance related tasks.

These tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Liaise with the Australian People Team on Enterprise Agreements.- Interpret employment agreement clauses as well as understand the implication of agreed changes.- Calculate and check Australian Enterprise Agreement / New Zealand Collective Back pays.- Manage and calculate Australian Third Party Payments as provided for in the Enterprise Agreements and any New Zealand Third Party Payments as required.- Manage Australian WorkCover/Income Protection calculations, payments and reconciliations.- Checking of Australia and New Zealand Termination payments for salary and wages employee.- Processing payments for Australian PAYG and New Zealand PAYE + Associates.- Assist with Year End PayGlobal upgrades and testing, and any other upgrades during the year.- Understand and assist with Legislation changes and testing for changes in PayGlobal to ensure Australia and New Zealand payrolls are compliant at all times.- Assist the Group Payroll Compliance Supervisor with tasks and Projects as and when required.- Assisting with the compliance of new allowances set up in Australia and New Zealand.

What you'll bring to the table- Be great with people and self-motivated- Strong ability to read & interpret Enterprise and/or Collective Agreements- Sound knowledge of Australia and/or New Zealand Employment and Human Resources Legislation.- Strong payroll legislative compliance understanding- Preferred minimum of 5+ years experience processing payroll for > 500 employees.- Preferred Intermediate PayGlobal experience.- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail- Continuous Improvement mindset- Effective Communicator- Excellent Use of Microsoft Word, Outlook- Intermediate to Advanced Excel- Preferred PayGlobal experience
