A well-established civil construction company is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Engineer to join the team. If you are passionate about construction, safety, and are ready to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of civil construction projects. Your responsibilities will include site administration, progress claims preparation, subcontract management, and maintaining strong client relationships.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Administer the project site in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing and submitting progress claims, variations, and contractual claims.
- Attend client/consultant project meetings and contribute effectively.
- Develop an understanding of project budgets and contribute to their management.
- Manage and resolve subcontract issues, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Liaise with consultants and clients to maintain strong relationships.
- Establish and update overall contract planning, including staff and labour requirements.
- Manage safety requirements in accordance with the Project Safety Plan and actively promote safety as a top priority.

**Skills and experience**:

- NZCE Diploma or BE degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 year's experience in the contracting industry.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and people management skills.
- Technical expertise and knowledge related to civil engineering construction.
- Fully computer literate with proficiency in project management tools.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
