**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
As a member of the Data & Digital team, you will be a member of our Identity and Eligibility leadership team who have the collective accountability for maintaining and enhancing technology services, as well as implementing and supporting Te Whatu Ora priorities. You will work closely with the other members of the leadership team to ensure that the technology services we provide meet the needs of the organisation, be a part of the decision-making and planning process for the team, and contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the technology services provided by Te Whatu Ora.
You will be responsible for leading a diverse team of experts in the design and implementation of policy logic for identity proofing, authentication, and authorisation for consumer identities in the health sector, as part of an integrated Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solution. Your expertise in digital identity verification, customer authentication, and ecosystem integration would be crucial in this role, as we work to support and improve the My Health Account capability developed during the Covid-19 pandemic, which is supported by the post-Covid19 investment strategy as well as Hira vision and business case. My Health Account is the NZ health sector's pre-eminent Digital Health Identity service with over 3.3 million user accounts bound to a National Health Index number, multiple client integrations in progress, and a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen and enhance the product suite over the coming years.
**Mōu | About you**
As an experienced ICT leader, you will have a strong understanding of the technology landscape and be able to bring new ideas and best practices to the team. You will have the ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals, build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and bring along your strong communication and problem-solving skills.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**:
- A relevant graduate and/or post-graduate qualification
- Seasoned experience in a similar role managing the CIAM function or a related field in a large and complex environment
- Strong technical skills, including significant experience with identity and access management solutions.
- Familiarity with best practices and compliance standards.
- Experience in ICT security or associated field
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage teams in an environment of change, financial prudence, and an increasing level of digital maturity across the organisation
- Proven relationship building skills and well-developed communication skills.
- Proven ability in managing suppliers and vendors.
- Strong financial management of operational budgets
- Demonstrated intuition and the ability to balance good process with the need to make clear decisions in demanding situations such as. priority service outages.
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes and manage competing priorities while remaining resilient under pressure.
Previous work experience in the Health Sector or Government and a Professional certification such as Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) or Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP)would be desirable, but is not essential if you bring other relevant skills or experience to the role.
