A very much sought after opportunity has arisen to join DHL Supply Chain New Zealand as a HR Advisor. This is an exciting and dynamic role that is part of a team of talented and dedicated HR Professionals responsible for the delivery of best in class HR services to the business. A key focus of the role is to ensure the services provided enable the business to perform at its best. Equally important will be continuing to develop and grow you and your team’s capability.

You will be supported by the National HR Manager and a talented HR Team. Working with managers, front line leaders, employee representatives, and logistics employees within DHL Supply Chain, you will be providing high quality support and advice on all people related challenges and opportunities. You may have experience working in a unionised workplace and feel comfortable in this environment. Additionally, this position is responsible for recruitment within your internal customer base, and you also may be provided with the opportunity to lead and manage general HR projects.
**WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE**:
- A minimum of two years HR Advisor experience coupled with a tertiary qualification in HR
- A sound working knowledge of NZ employment law
- Excellent relationship management and customer service skills. There is a strong emphasis on providing a high level of internal customer support so you’ll need to thrive in a fast paced environment where we work at pace, to tight deadlines, while maintaining high standards
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and training skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills (including time management and prioritisation)
- Mature approach, discretion and sound judgement
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to partner and influence others
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a close team
- Previous HR experience with an operational workforce is preferred

This position will spend time between our sites in Airport Oaks, Highbrook and Mount Wellington and so you will need a driver’s licence and the flexibility to work across our South Auckland sites.
