Hamilton, New Zealand Gallagher Group Full time

Instilled by our founder Bill Gallagher Senior in 1938 and continuing ever since, giving back is an important part of our rich history as we look to support the development of vibrant communities in which we are proud to live and work.

Today our sponsorship portfolio is significant with hundreds of relationships spanning the likes of technology and sport, health and entertainment, the arts and education, and so many more. With a desire to have even more impact on New Zealand and throughout the world in years to come, we now have a newly created position of Sponsorship Coordinator.

This role will join our Group Communications team on a permanent, part-time basis, working 16 hours per week with some flexibility when it comes to how those hours are structured and where you work. While this role is part of a team with skillsets spanning the likes of strategic communication, copywriting, videography and graphic design, you’ll be taking the lead on sponsorship and provide specialist services.

We’re looking for an extremely organised, efficient and detail orientated professional who enjoys building partnerships to both support our commitment to the community and take our brand to the next level.

**In this role you will**:

- Play a lead role in seeking, collating and recommending sponsorship opportunities which align with our purpose and values.
- Ensure we build strong and positive relationships with our stakeholders, and that interactions are smooth and efficient.
- Maintain a sound administrative approach - from budget tracking, reviewing invoices, maintaining a database, arranging agreements and more.
- Work in collaboration with the wider Group Communications team to ensure we bring the stories of our community support to life.
- Have a continuous improvement mindset, always scanning the external environment and looking for ways we can take our efforts in this area to the next level.
**Also important in this role will be your ability to**:

- Comfortably navigate tech basics - we use Teams and Outlook at Gallagher, and this role will also require you to be able to complete a few key tasks within SAP, our invoice management system, and the Microsoft Office suite such as Excel, Word and Forms. We will of course support you with training on our systems and tools where required.
- Take ownership - by taking the time to understand our business and its drivers, ensuring our sponsorship financials are up to date and accurate, finding out how to navigate new situations, proactively recommending changes to a process, right through to prioritising your workload in line with what’s going to add the most value.
- Act as a specialist - combining your experience in related areas, your strong skillset in sponsorship, and your desire for growth and learning, you’ll feel confident advising in all areas of your field and to be known as the go-to person on sponsorship matters.

So if you’re a true brand ambassador who is drawn in by our story and inspired by the uniqueness of our company, then we’d love you to take some time to look at the position description.

Whilst we are extremely keen to get this role filled ASAP, we know it's crucial we find the right fit for our organisation, so this ad will remain open until we've nailed that brief. Don’t hold back though - if you’re keen, get your CV in today
