Electrical Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Project Engineering Team in Hastings. The prime function of this role is to develop conceptual and detailed designs for substation projects in conjunction with Project Engineers. You will also provide specialist engineering and technical guidance and advice to the wider Unison Group.

**The Key Responsibilities for this position include**:

- Develop conceptual and detailed designs for substation projects in conjunction with Project Engineers.
- Engagement with external parties to conduct project investigation.
- Review external conceptual and detailed designs for substation projects
- Develop, foster, influence and maintain stakeholder relationships both internally and externally to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of projects.

**The Key Training & Experience required for this position includes**:

- A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in power system design or construction.
- Knowledge of relevant industry acts, regulations and codes of practice.
- High voltage substation mechanical and electrical design knowledge.
- Understanding of power system protection schemes.
