**Job Description** Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a **Research Programme Manager** to join us on a full time, permanent basis.

As the Research Programme Manager you are responsible for leading, mentoring and managing a small, high performing team, developing strong stakeholder relationships and monitoring the performance of key deliverables across the research portfolio in the School of Population Health.

Together with your team you will be navigating research support services and providing comprehensive end to end research management. You will plan, prioritise and align people and resources across the team, to deliver operational and administrative research support to our researchers.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent relationship management skills. Your experience will have seen you directing teams in order to deliver on current and future work priorities, and you will be familiar with coaching and mentoring staff in order to achieve these. Having experience with research management systems and a strong financial acumen would be advantageous.

The salary range is $84,000 - $97,000. This is a full time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent role.

**He kōrero mōu | About you**
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in a research-intensive environment or managing similar research projects
- Thorough understanding of funding or investment opportunities
- Have strong relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or relevant tertiary qualification

**Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team**

This role sits within the Research Services team at the Faulty of Medical and Health Science. Our team facilitate our researchers to carry out ground-breaking research that changes health outcomes for our communities.

The role reports to the Lead Research Programme Manager and works alongside a supportive team of other Research Programme Managers.
