As a UI developer you will translate creative software design concepts and ideas into reality using front end technology and have a solid understanding of user interface design solutions, both in its practical intent and creative vision, and convert it into engineered software.

You will be the bridge between the presentation layer and the backend layer, and create a niche as the translational layer in between, so that both live up to their full potential and are not compromised because of each other. Designing and creating software interfaces by prioritising Users and business requirements over technology limitations and constraints will come easy to you.

**Required Skills**:

- Participates in the design process as a consultant on possibilities, taking the created design as input, understanding it and working through the constraints and executing the design vision into engineered reality.
- A level of design and business understanding so as to not compromise on business goals and design intents

**Typical daily activities include the following**:

- Collaborate with business and IT decision-makers to discuss user interface requirements and brainstorm UI ideas.
- Work with other developers to ensure that the website is functional and visually appealing.
- Proficient in front-end web development languages, including; React Native, React, JavaScript, Typescript, Angular, VueJS, HTM and CSS, AJAX, etc.
- Conduct usability testing to identify and fix UI issues and collect actual intelligence from target users.
- Simulate UI elements using Adobe Creative Suite programs (for example, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Flex).
- Use social networking APIs (from Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.) to integrate social activities.
- Use visual aids such as wireframes, storyboards, and UI flowcharts to plan and present user interface designs.
- Familiar with popular content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, Magneto, and osCommerce.
- Master search engine optimization (SEO) knowledge to develop search-friendly websites and interfaces.
- Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in UI/UX design and HCI (Human Machine Interaction).
- Liaise with the client to gauge their needs and expectations.
- Use analytics to test client enjoyment.
- Plan the layout of the website and ensure that the website is optimized for various devices.
- This role requires a good level of written and verbal communication in English, as well as excellent team collaboration skills to ensure that you are able to communicate effectively with team members, clients and business decision makers.
