This is an exciting opportunity to join the Quality & Patient Safety Team working in a Quality Advisor role within the Centre of Clinical Excellence across Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley District. You will be required to work across all the sites in the region.
This is an interesting and varied role which will see you working closely with patients, whānau and staff while providing a high level of expertise and quality advice to improve the quality and safety of care, ultimately improving outcomes for all of our communities.
You will be responsible for contributing to delivery of the organisation - s quality agenda, the development of quality improvement and risk management capability in services, the provision and utilisation of timely patient satisfaction data, event reporting, complaints coordination for services, and preparation for certification audit.

**Do you have the following**:

- A passion for quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management?
- A pro-equity approach to everything you do?
- Are you currently working in a clinical role and looking for a change in direction where you can make a difference to health outcomes in our communities
- A relevant medical, nursing or allied health qualification?
- Experience in continuous quality improvement tools, processes and audit?
- Knowledge of the New Zealand health sector and health legislation?
- An understanding of serious adverse event processes?
- Strong interpersonal skills (the ability to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life is an essential part of this role)?
- Do you challenge the status quo and view things from different perspectives, use innovative thinking and continuous improvement?
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills?
- Competency in computer skills using a range of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel?
- Are you able to adapt to changing priorities, proactively managing conflicting demands on time?If you have answered yes to these questions AND you have the relevant medical, nursing or allied health qualification we want you
