**Clinical Social Work Specialist position working rostered shifts has arisen within our Crisis Resolution team (four days on, two days off; morning and afternoon shifts).**:

**Mō te tūnga - About the Role**

The Crisis Resolution team provides assessment, treatment and support to people in Waitaha Canterbury requiring urgent and acute mental health care. This fast-paced and dynamic area of work offers a challenging, stimulating and rewarding environment. You will work alongside the Clinical Leadership Group within Crisis Resolution and contribute positively to the culture of the team and the team’s ability to provide accessible, safe and consumer focused care.

**Ko wai koe | About You**

As a professional, highly motivated and experienced Social Worker who displays a positive attitude and enthusiasm for this area of work, you will enjoy being part of a committed and diverse multidisciplinary team. The ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, and in collaboration with our clients and their whānau, primary care, community supports and our inpatient teams is crucial. The ability to think on your feet, triage and prioritize workloads patients appropriately in a timely manner is essential.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**

In order to be successful in this role, the following is required:

- Registered with the Aotearoa New Zealand registration board with a current annual practice certificate.
- Skills and experience in psychiatric assessment and therapeutic interventions.
- Have a full New Zealand driver’s license
- Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Ideally you will be a Duly Authorised Officer who has been trained and signed off as being able facilitate the MHA, if not currently a DAO applicants for this position will be willing to undertake this paid three day DAO training as provided by the Waitaha.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability including positively influencing team dynamics and collaborative problem solving.
- Facilitating high quality social work practice and providing expert clinical knowledge and leadership.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- You will have completed or on a pathway to complete a post graduate qualification relevant to this role.
- Great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.

- Whakakotahitanga (ability to work in your role and actively participate and align this to our organisational values and goals).
