Are you a dedicated Social Worker with a passion for leadership and service excellence? We're seeking a dynamic clinical team leader to join our Community Services and make a difference in the lives of tāngata whaiora (patients).
Our Community Services are primarily based at The Princess Margaret Hospital. We use a collaborative MDT approach to working alongside individuals and their support networks to help manage changes in their physical and mental health.
Our Social Work team is part of a collaborative health system, where everyone works together to achieve positive health outcomes for patients, their families/whānau and communities. We guide people to navigate through their health journey whether it be a chronic disability or a temporary issue. We have a strong commitment to empowering and enabling people within their social context and believe in client self-determination and autonomy.
The Clinical Team Leader role supports and promotes the Social Work profession in our community teams, including the Older Persons Therapy teams, Community Stroke and Older persons Mental Health.
The clinical caseload aspect of this role accounts for approximately 0.7FTE of the full time role, providing social work assessment, advice and intervention for older adults based in the North/East Christchurch region

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day professional leadership of the Social Workers in our Community Teams. Your leadership skills will shine as you provide professional guidance and supervision to clinicians and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
You will lead education and training initiatives for our social work clinicians and play a crucial role in supporting and facilitating projects that enhance the quality of care provided to our clients. You will work alongside our Community Leadership team, providing Social Work perspective and engaging in wider service improvement and governance initiatives.

**Essential**:
- Current NZ registration & APC
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
- Minimum 5 years of clinical work experience
- Experience in clinical teaching, supervision, and staff development
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Experience in quality improvement activities and policy development
- Knowledge of NZ Health & Disability sector standards and Privacy Act
- Proven Case management skills
**Desirable**:
- Post graduate certificate
- Full Driver’s licence
