**What will you be doing?**
Reporting to the Head of Tower Natural Disaster Response, the purpose of this role is to act as the relationship and business lead between Tower and Toka Tu Ake EQC.
Representing Tower on various Tower and /or Toka Tū Ake EQC working groups and committees, you will ensure that we are aligned and compliant with their policies and our agreements.
You will drive performance by owning internal and external reporting, EQC invoicing, and assurance and audit-related activities.
**You can expect to be across the following**:
- Maintain deep knowledge of the Natural Disaster Response Agreement ("NDRA") and related agreements to manage all related compliance activities, provide insights and recommendations on process requirements and improvements to the Head of Tower Natural Disaster Response and Chief Claims Officer.
- Maintain knowledge on legislative requirements and Toka Tū Ake EQC requirements for Tower's claims handled on behalf of Toka Tū Ake EQC
- Act collaboratively with claims leaders, Toka Tū Ake EQC, ICNZ, IFSO, and other members of Tower to implement the organisation's business and strategic objectives
- Overall owner of the monthly Toka Tu Ake EQC invoicing process and accuracy. With assistance from the EQC Administrator, identify and escalate any systemic or ad-hoc errors or issues related to the invoicing process to ensure no delays in the monthly invoicing process and receipt of funds to Tower
- Overall owner of the delivery of all Toka Tū Ake EQC related reporting, including but not limited to the standard Toka Tu Ake EQC monthly data reporting, weekly Third-Party Administrator land assessments data triage and management, and weekly Toka Tū Ake EQC claims lodgement accuracy
- Overall owner of all Toka Tu Ake EQC audit interface and reporting requirements with Toka Tu Ake, internally and with our third-party suppliers.
- Maintain strong collaboration with internal teams, including Finance, to ensure the accuracy and completion of monthly invoicing to Toka Tu Ake EQC
**What you'll need**
You will be a strategic communicator, adept at fostering collaborative partnerships and navigating complex stakeholder dynamics. You will possess strong leadership qualities and analytical rigor, enabling you to anticipate challenges and drive strategic decision-making to maximize outcomes.
**To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate the following**:
- 5+ years' experience at a leadership level in the Insurance Claims industry (preferable)
- 5+ years in Claims including policy interpretation, technical claims experience, IFSO and complaint management is preferable.
- Major event claims management experience (preferable)
- Understanding of Toka Tu Ake EQC, NDRA and industry response strategies surrounding event claims (preferable)
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills to manage external stakeholders with Toka Tu Ake EQC, RLGG, ICNZ, IFSO, Assessing firms, Afterhours service provider, Customers and Suppliers
- Prior EQC claims or relationship management experience (preferable)
