**Chief People Officer**

Toka Tū Ake - the Earthquake Commission (EQC), is a Crown Entity with a mission to reduce the impact on people and property when natural disasters occur.

**What we’re looking for**
As an integral member of the Executive Leadership team at EQC, the Chief People Officer leads the delivery of our people strategy. Our people are our most important asset, enabling us to execute our strategic intentions and embed the operational foundations needed both now and for the future.

Leading the People, Culture and Capability business group, this role is responsible for policy, processes and practices across a wide range of people related disciplines covering both organisational development (including culture and leadership initiatives) and human resources operational functions (such as health, safety, security and wellbeing, recruitment and selection, workforce planning, performance management, employment relations, remuneration and benefits etc).

This role is also responsible for working closely with our Board and subcommittees to ensure that appropriate governance is in place, including through our outsourced claims operating model.

The Chief People Officer ensures that EQC attracts, develops and retains the right people at the right time within a diverse, inclusive and supportive culture that provides its people with the tools, resources and systems needed to be successful.
