The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

**The purpose of the Transformation team is to support our people through change, in a future-focused NPHS that leads to Pae Ora. **The team leads a transformation programme that delivers the changes established under Pae Ora (Healthy Futures Legislation) and is aligned with Te Whatu Ora's strategic direction.**We have a team of approximately 20 people with a wide range of skills include technical expertise, project management and learning and development.**

We have an opportunity for an **Internal Communications Change Lead** to join our Transformation team in a key role.

The Internal Communications Change Lead is an important contributor to the National Public Health Service establishment and transformation.

This fixed-term, full-time **(until 28 June 2024) **role ensures the delivery of best practice strategic and tactical internal communications for the Transformation Directorate to reach and engage our target audiences, particularly NPHS kaimahi/employees. You will develop and evolve the internal communications framework, in alignment with the NPHS kaupapa/purpose, pae tawhiti/vision and objectives, upholding commitments to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Te Pae Tata/Interim New Zealand Health Plan, and Te Mauri o Rongo/ New Zealand Health Charter. You will also contribute to communications and engagement plans for various key projects.

You are someone with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with people at all levels within the public sector. You're tenacious and always finding ways to make things happen.

- A relevant graduate and postgraduate qualification
- 5+ years experience operating at a senior advisor level
- Experience in internal and external communications with a large organisation including experience writing for web/online publications and using MailChimp
- Exceptional relationship and networking capability
- Able to be discreet and always maintain confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and output of the highest quality
- Self-aware, confident and robust, maintain composure and objectivity during stressful times or difficult circumstances
