- Salary range $112K - $138K plus kiwisaver Tēnei tūranga - About the Role: This role is ideal for someone who wants to understand more about how an organisation operates at a strategic level, to work closely with senior leaders, gain exposure to systems thinking and see how key decisions are made.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team to provide governance advice and support to MBIE’s senior leaders and governance committees. This is a permanent full-time role and an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience or learn more about MBIE as a whole.

The Senior Strategic Governance Advisor provides governance advice and secretariat support to Mana Whakaruruhau, MBIE’s enterprise governance system. In this role you will be a trusted advisor to the Chairs of the Committees and undertake an important and largely autonomous advisory role, working with Chairs and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) across the organisation to support their effective stewardship of MBIE. You will need to be able to keep pace with the time pressures and be flexible to adapt to changing priorities.

**To be successful in this role, you will have the following**:

- Sound interpersonal skills with experience managing key relationships at all levels
- The ability to work strategically in a complex, fast-paced and fast-changing environment
- The ability to prioritise and actively manage multiple work streams within tight time constraints
- Excellent writing and presentation skills and the ability to deliver clear and concise summaries of complex information
- A continuous improvement focus with experience identifying opportunities for improving and supporting solution design, change and implementation
- A team player who actively contributes to a positive team and branch culture
