We are seeking someone to join us as a Portfolio Analyst to help administer the Government's Business Finance Guarantee Scheme (BFGS). This is a permanent role and will be part of the Treasury's NZ Export Credit team.
The BFGS supports the provision of loans to small and medium businesses who are recovering from the impacts of COVID-19. It encourages banks and non-bank deposit takers to lend where otherwise they may not by the Government taking up to 80% of the loan's default risk.

**As an Analyst in this role, you'll have the opportunity to**:

- be Treasury's main point of contact with the lenders
- have primary responsibility for Treasury's monitoring and reporting of the BFGS portfolio, including advice to Ministers and official information responses
- implement the operational aspects of the BFGS, including any claims payments
- provide wider support to NZ Export Credit's role in supporting exporters.

**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:

- experience and practical knowledge of financial markets
- experience in senior stakeholder engagement
- analytical and reporting skills with the ability to independently manage portfolios and processes
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- high levels of initiative and attention to detail
- personal integrity, sound judgement and an honest and ethical approach.
