Being part of the Engineering Practice at ASB we encourage our teams to work autonomously in an agile way while actively growing their skills and expertise to continuously improve outcomes for our customers.

This role comes with the potential to grow and manage your own team of developers over time.

**Mō te Tūranga | About the role**
- Collaborating with Squad members to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits)
- Integrations: Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used in the organization. Typical activities include creating SDKs, code templates, IaC (Infrastructure as Code) or build/deploy pipeline blueprints, maintaining API Gateways, event streaming brokers and experimenting with new technologies.
- Enhance our nCino implementation built on the Salesforce Platform
- Collaborating with IT / Developers for other systems to integrate across the business

**Nice to have**:

- Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Visualforce*, (based on specific requirements) to extend Salesforce to support business requirements,
- Custom User Interface development, including Visualforce* pages/Lightning pages, Aura Components and Lightning Web Components
- Best Practices: Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development

**Ō pūkenga | About you**
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong.NET / C# including ASP.NET APIs
- Experience building SDKs and libraries and supporting other teams in the organisation that use them.
- Experience building REST APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger)
- Experience using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub for build and deploy pipelines
- Experience in administering integration-oriented tooling such as API Gateways, Event Streaming clusters (experience with Kong and Apache Kafka is a bonus)
- Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications,
- Experience working with large data sets,
- Soft skills: the ability to gather requirements and present solutions to stakeholders.

In addition, any of the following would be an advantage
- A proactive attitude to Salesforce enhancements and bringing existing code into best practices
- Experience implementing and developing in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, Java
- Competency in other languages / development (XML, Flex, JavaScript,.NET, SQL, C++, SOAP-based web services,
- Comfortable managing a team
- Demonstrates continued personal/professional development,
- Active in the Salesforce community
