At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | Ministry of Education, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally, and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whānau.

**Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role**

The Senior Education Advisor, Pacific supports the development of Ministry capability and responsiveness to Pacific communities and students and the regional implementation of the goals and strategies of the Auckland Pacific Education work programme and Pacific Success.

The key priorities for this role are to support managers to build the capability and responsiveness of the region to support initiatives in schools, early childhood centres and communities that increase the participation, engagement, and achievement of Pacific students.

**Mōhou ake | About you**
- Experience in developing and maintain strong professional relationships and effective networks across multi agencies, Pasifika communities and professional networks.
- In-depth understanding of factors influencing education performance and student achievement.
- In-depth understanding of factors influencing Pasifika community engagement and participation in education.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with participation and achievement data to determine needs and priorities and monitor.
- The ability to contribute to Pacific Success across the Auckland region.

Te Mahau-Te Tai Raro

Our teams around the country work closely with the Early Childhood and Schooling sectors, providers, and communities to provide support, expertise, and resources to help children and young people reach their full potential.
We also directly provide Learning Support for around 40,000 children and young people.
