Mō te tūnga | About the role As the Chief of Staff within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) you will lead the development and implementation of the Group's strategy across seven directorates, our communications and engagement operations, the Group's learning and development, and the Group's change management functions, and oversight of support staff within the office of the CIO.
Key responsibilities: Championing and supporting all CIS Branch staff to engage with our mission, vision and values; Regularly representing the CIO at Tier 2 committees and boards.

Your previous ICT governance experience, customer and stakeholder relationship management skills will be advantageous to this role.
Ideally, you will have: A strong understanding of the machinery of government; An overarching knowledge of ICT systems and software, with the ability to communicate complex technical information in plain English; Experience in supporting people and culture initiatives including the ability to partner with HR Advisory to establish, initiate and lead workforce improvement initiatives; Experience in leading change management; Experience in representing an organisation in senior governance forums; and Proven success in leading teams and mentoring staff.
