Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate delivery drivers, schedules, and route optimisation across the Otago region Oversee dispatch operations, ensuring timely pickup and deliveries Monitor and manage performance metrics (on-time delivery, driver efficiency, customer satisfaction) Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to service standards Maintain compliance with transport laws, health & safety, and company policies Prepare delivery manifests, reports, and daily/weekly operational summaries Assist in recruitment, training, and performance reviews of delivery and dispatch staff Maintain and oversee the condition and maintenance schedules of fleet vehicles Implement cost-control strategies for fuel, vehicle wear, scheduling, and overtime Skills, Experience & Qualification Requirements Minimum 2 years experience in a logistics, delivery coordination, or transport operations role; supervisory or managerial experience strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to manage staff and schedules under pressure while maintaining high service quality Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to liaise with customers and stakeholders Working knowledge of route planning, dispatch software, transport regulations, and vehicle maintenance basics Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to respond to changes in demand or delivery delays A level 4 qualification or above can replace the required work experiences.
