We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our cross‑functional team and help bring AI‑powered experiences to life in a safe, meaningful and scalable way. You’ll work across both front‑end experiences that boost student engagement and back‑end infrastructure that supports large‑scale performance. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver impactful solutions, mentor teammates, and continuously improve our technology. What you will do Design and build secure, scalable and maintainable cloud services across our stack (C#, Kafka, Graph QL, Type Script, React, Python) Deliver AI‑powered features from concept to deployment, implementing safety measures like guardrails and prompt‑injection protections Continuously ship value in small, iterative releases, ensuring fast feedback loops and measurable customer impact Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, designers and other engineers to turn complex, open‑ended customer problems into reliable solutions Enhance system performance and reliability, ensuring our infrastructure can support a growing, global user base Lead technical initiatives that span multiple teams, contributing to architectural improvements and technical debt reduction Participate in production operations, helping maintain uptime, resolve incidents and improve operational processes Mentor and coach other engineers, sharing knowledge, giving constructive feedback and fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment Stay ahead of the curve with emerging AI, cloud and web technologies, bringing fresh ideas and approaches to the team About you 5+ years of experience designing, developing and operating cloud software at scale Proficiency in some of our core tech stack: C#, Kafka, Graph QL, Type Script, React, Python Hands‑on experience with AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex AI or similar. Knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM output safety, including guardrails and security measures Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, flat teams Skilled in making sound technical decisions based on goals, domain knowledge and engineering fundamentals Comfortable managing risk, ambiguity and dependencies Experience working with distributed teams in global organisations Growth mindset with a strong sense of ownership Equitable opportunities, growth, and development lie at the heart of how we work at EP.
