And you will also be able to do your banking onsite with Kiwi Bank and mailing with NZ Post100% locally owned and operated and part of the nationwide Paper Plus Group, our Bethlehem store is closely involved with the local community, schools, and businesses, and we are keen to employ staff who live locally and are focused on making a successful career in Retail.


About the Role:  You will serve our valued clientele with daily tasks such as sourcing and selling products, researching and inputting data, processing orders, creating and maintaining stock displays, and cleaning the store.

Skills and Experience Required: Previous retail experience using POS terminals and Eftpos.


Keen on BOOKS, as predominantly the job is displaying, searching, sourcing, ordering, and recommending books to avid readers.


Experience selling Stationery, Gifts, Office Products, and Greeting Cards would also be ideal.


NZ Post / Kiwibank / Paper Plus experience would be an advantage.


Good computer skills (Advance Retail POS, MS Excel, database, web) Fluent English language skills - both written and oral essential.


Attention to detail and clear legible penmanship for writing notes and orders is essential.


Mature attitude, with strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.


Ability to retain information and product knowledge in a fast-changing environment with book titles and new releases.


Physical/mental agility to keep up with daily tasks on the shop floor.


Reliable transportation to get to work before your shift starts.


  Well-presented, pride in appearance, personable, and friendly manner.


Available for permanent rostered hours, with one day per weekend.
