We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Control Manager this is a key role responsible for effectively leading the AMP Corporate Finance function, to ensure optimal service delivery across the business through the provision of quality and timely information and reporting, safeguarding the financial assets of the NZ Wealth Management business, meeting all regulatory and statutory financial reporting requirements and supporting the Finance Business Partners in the regular budgeting and forecasting process. This role will have three direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • 3+ years' experience in a financial accounting role at a senior level ideally within a Financial Services industry organisation
  • Experience in personally driving change to effect substantial business improvements
  • Proven leadership experience and effective people management capability employing appropriate methods to establish, develop, motivate and guide a team towards successful outcomes and achievement of business objectives.
  • Experience and knowledge of the adviser and wealth management industry and total wealth management chain.

Qualifications required

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce – BCA / BBS (Com) or equivalent
  • CA Member of NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants (CAANZ) – or equivalent.
