Sea Logistics Operational Care Supervisor

You are responsible for the delivery of operational excellence through your team of Operational Care specialists by providing leadership and direction, while continuously optimizing production costs. Your focus will be on developing the sea logistics export business by enhancing operational capability and delivery of increased profitability, balancing between cost-efficiency and high quality processing.

Your Role

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless logistics operations. The position involves leading a team to manage transport activities, including bookings, order entries, and documentation for export/import processes. Collaboration with Customer Care and Revenue Care teams is key to meeting client requirements efficiently. This is a full-time position.

Your Responsibilities
  • To ensure operational excellence through high quality shipment management and export services.
  • To collaborate with Customer Care locations (CCL) through proactive provision of information, knowledge, solutions and alternatives to deliver customer satisfaction.
  • To maintain and strengthen operational carrier relationships.
  • To contribute to continuous improvements of processes and controls for lean and cost-efficient processes.
  • To optimize the development of Sea Logistics operational KPIs.
  • To ensure the highest levels of productivity within the organization in collaboration with Systems and Processes.
  • To perform timely and accurate cost/revenue updates, escalating all files that are below the minimum GP threshold as per guidelines to ensure cost awareness and efficiency.
  • To support and resolve claims and disputes.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics or operational roles, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, along with strong analytical skills.
  • Capability to lead and manage a team effectively, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
  • Ability to handle challenges and make decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Good background in a freight forwarding company.
