Draughtsperson

Our expertise spans in-house technical smarts, specialist engineering, integrated OEM partners, and dedicated crews of qualified tradespeople.

We are actively seeking a new Telecommunications Draughtsperson to join our team and will be reporting directly to the Draughting Manager.

To support the Downer business by:

1. Applying knowledge of telecommunications networks, records systems and standards to create and maintain drawing records and databases depicting the respective customer's telecommunications networks.
2. Providing appropriate support to field and office staff with respect to the interpretation of telecommunication network records.
3. Coordinate with Downer, their customers and other staff as necessary to help develop and refine record systems, standards, processes and documentation.

• A knowledge of telecommunications network technologies and practices, including those of our major customers.
• Experience in the use of GIS and CAD software, preferably in a telecommunication or utilities environment.
• Skilled in relevant customer software systems and other computer software use/access as required.
• Well-developed organisational skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of team members, contractors and customers.
• The ability to incorporate innovation into work processes and outputs.
• A sound understanding of the financial parameters of the Draughting function.
• A positive attitude and commitment to providing a high quality of service.
• The ability to work well within a team as well as on sole-charge work.
