Tmp Planner

We have a fantastic opportunity for a
**TMP Planner** to join our Wellington Region. We have a strong forward works programme and are growing our team with the opportunity to get involved in some transformative projects in the Wellington Region.

This role assesses job requirements and designs TMP layouts and detailed draughting in temporary traffic design, arranging approvals and ensuring TMP’s are up to date. This role is critical to the safe delivery of a range of projects across the Wellington Region.

**What you will be doing**:

- Design and plan layout/detailed draughting in temporary traffic design in accordance with CoPTTM.
- Liaise with the delivery team to ensure temporary traffic designs meet the requirements of physical works delivery.
- Plan work to minimise the impact on customer journeys through shared closures or alternative traffic management approaches in accordance with the hierarchy of controls.
- Ensure work is implemented in such a way that the risk to TTM and construction road workers is identified early, and appropriate mitigations are in place.
- Build a strong working relationship with the RCA to ensure TMP approvals are timely and that their needs are being met.
- Provide advice on Temporary Traffic Management options to project teams
- Remove roadblocks and problem solve quickly and effectively. Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems
- Interpret and explain TMPs and work plans to staff and other supervisors.
- Audit the implementation of TMP’s as a learning and coaching opportunity

**If you are looking for your next challenge, then this is what we think you will need to be successful in this role**:

- Qualified CAD Draughtsperson
- 5+ years of experience of temporary traffic design
- NZTA warrant as TMP Designer
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Class 1 license is essential
- STMS qualifications are desirable
- Self-motivated
- Proven well developed interpersonal skills
- Customer driven
