About this role
At MTF we provide asset finance and personal loans to individuals and businesses, undertaking our own lending assessments and looking for sales opportunities. We are committed to delivering excellent results for our customers and we are looking for an extraordinary team member who has a passion for sales, lending, and the ability to work with customers to understand their circumstances and find responsible solutions to help them achieve their goals. This role requires sound analytical and communication skills to engage with customers to assist them on their journey through the finance process. We pride ourselves on making lending about people again.

As a finance specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the customer from the first point of contact and understanding the customer's needs.
  • Analysing new applications, ensuring strict adherence to the company guidelines and regulatory obligations.
  • Having a comprehensive understanding of our products, creating a pathway to "yes" and achieving the best outcomes for our customers in accordance with the Responsible Lending Code and MTF guidelines.
  • Helping our customers complete the application process through to loan generation.
  • Providing exceptional customer service.
  • Growing a portfolio to meet growth targets.

Necessary skills and experience

  • A good understanding of responsible lending and compliance requirements. (Ideal, but not required as training will be given.)
  • Be able to work autonomously and accurately in a timely manner, as well as being a great team member.
  • Flexibility to handle varied responsibilities and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Able to multitask without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • An excellent communicator (both written and verbal) who enjoys interacting with customers and has a flexible approach when offering lending solutions.
  • An authentic relationship builder, with the motivation and drive to get out into the community and source new business leads.
  • Confident working with numbers and can grasp new technology products quickly.
