The Role

We're looking for a results-driven Account Manager to manage and grow an Auckland-based client portfolio. This is a full-time, permanent role where you'll be at the forefront of trade sales, working closely with builders, contractors, and key industry players to drive revenue and strengthen business partnerships.

Reporting to the General Manager – Trade Sales, you will:

  1. Grow sales revenue by identifying new business opportunities and expanding market share.
  2. Build and nurture strong client relationships, providing expert advice and tailored solutions.
  3. Keep ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
  4. Manage key accounts, ensuring high service levels and customer satisfaction.
  5. Represent Mitre 10 MEGA at industry events, staying connected with the trade and construction sectors.
What You'll Bring
  1. Proven experience in account management and sales success (5+ years preferred).
  2. Strong background in the building, construction, trade, or industrial sales industries.
  3. Experience in plumbing, electrical, or other trade-related sectors is also beneficial.
  4. Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  5. Strong commercial acumen and a customer-first approach.
  6. Knowledge of building products, materials, and technical specifications is a plus.
  7. Exceptional communication, time management, and IT skills.
