Marsh is seeking candidates to join our broking team in our Hamilton Office.

Client Executive

  • As part of the high-performing broking unit in our Affinity Segment, you will manage a portfolio of Transport, Logistics, Warehousing and Automotive Industry accounts, ensuring that a high degree of quality client service and advice is always provided to all customers.
  • Contribute towards the Company's profit objectives through the effective management and attainment of revenue and sponsor partner management.
  • Work both with the wider team and our business development team to effectively onboard new clients.

We will count on you to:

Account Management:

  • Possess and apply thorough understanding of the client's business, risk management and insurance needs to ensure that our services and programs continue to meet with their needs and expectations.
  • Take a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers and frequently monitor political, management and other changes within client organisations to preserve and protect the Company's relationship at all times.
  • Engender a positive and tenacious client retention, new business and team focus.
  • Assist Segment Leader with the preparation, management, implementation and achievement of team/unit business plans and goals.

Administration & Technical:

  • Adhere strictly to the Company's quality practices and other systems and procedures.
  • Possess and apply a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments through attendance at company and industry training events.
  • Possess and apply a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Fire Services Levy, GST, provisions and other relevant legislation and keep abreast of all new developments.
  • Other duties as required time to time.

Revenue Generation:

  • Recognise and capitalise upon revenue generation, growth and other opportunities.
  • Actively develop additional business from existing portfolio in line with budget targets.
  • Develop new business opportunities from existing portfolio and other sources.
  • Unconditional support for all Company sponsored revenue generation initiatives.

What you need to have:

  • 3 + years' experience in the insurance industry.
  • New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).

  • 5 + plus years insurance industry experience preferred.
